The Focus Bar uses an asymmetric optical design, which means the light is physically directed downward — onto your desk and keyboard — and not toward your screen. This isn't a software setting or a filter. It's how the optics are built. The result is that your monitor stays completely free of reflected light, even when the bar is set to maximum brightness. If you've ever worked with a desk lamp positioned behind or beside your monitor and noticed a wash of light across the screen, the Focus Bar eliminates that entirely.

No software, no app, no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi. The Focus Bar is entirely controlled by a single touch button on the bar itself. One tap turns it on or off. Hold to adjust brightness continuously. Tap again to cycle through the three colour temperatures. That's it. There's nothing to install, nothing to pair, and nothing to configure. It works the moment you plug it in via USB.

Installation takes under 30 seconds. The Focus Bar clips onto the top edge of your monitor using a weighted base — no screws, no adhesive, no tools. To remove it, you simply lift it off. Because there's no permanent fixing, you can move it between monitors freely. If you have a monitor at home and one at the office, the Focus Bar travels with you. The only requirement is a flat-panel monitor up to 27 inches — it won't sit stably on curved or very thin bezels.

This is one of the most common questions — and the honest answer is: it depends on the curve. The Focus Bar uses a weighted clip base designed for flat-panel monitors. On monitors with a mild curve (1800R or above), it will often sit stably and function correctly. On monitors with a tighter curve (1500R or below), the base may not make full contact with the top edge, which can affect stability. If you're using a heavily curved gaming monitor, we'd recommend checking the radius before purchasing. For standard flat office or productivity monitors, it works without issue.
